Twitter gets emotional over 'Mike and the Mad Dog' 30 for 30: 'I laughed, I cried…' ⋆ Epeak . Independent news and blogs

For one hour, ‘Mike and the Mad Dog‘ owned the sporting world again.

The most successful pairing in sports talk radio history was chronicled by ESPN Films for the latest ’30 for 30′ documentary film.

As the one-hour trip down memory lane commenced, fans flocked to social media to share thoughts, emotions and memories of the WFAN icons.

Here’s some of the best reaction to Thursday night’s show.

The classic phrase.

On a slow sports night, Mike Francesa and Chris Russo were the stars once again.

One hour wasn’t enough for the biggest fans.

Russo screaming at a caller about Harmon Killebrew’s career .256 batting average was so good.

WFAN alum Steve Levy with the emotional take.

This feeling had to sweep over so many.

The goodbye call Russo made to Francesa’s first show after the breakup was amazing radio.

They didn’t just redefine sports talk radio; they changed the entire landscape of the sports entertainment industry.
