Dictionary.com Slams Kylie Jenner And Her Latest Forbes Cover

As fans of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians‘ star know, Kylie Jenner, graced the latest issue of Forbes Magazine, as one of its “Self-Made Women.” However, not a lot of people agreed with the title, considering Kylie’s background as a reality star, a feat accomplished by her mother, Kris Jenner, primarily.

Dictionary.com wrote a tweet online reading, “Self-made means having succeeded in life unaided.” Many people on Twitter were quick to re-post, like, and comment on Dictionary.com’s statement, with some condemning it, while others praised Forbes’ choice to put the reality star on the cover.

One person wrote, “To call Kylie Jenner a self-made billionaire is like saying you made soup from scratch because you opened a can of it and put it in the microwave.”

However, a lot of people out there criticized her haters, stating that they were merely jealous and resentful of her accomplishments, and would never be able to amass a fortune of a billion dollars, even if they wanted to.

One person wrote, “Everyone is hating on Kylie because Forbes said she was a self-made billionaire, but the truth is that half of you would never be able to do what she has done, regardless of the position you were born into.”

And while that person’s statement may be true, the Kardashians have been relatively famous ever since the 1990’s when her father, Robert Kardashian, got OJ Simpson off in his murder case involving the deaths of Nicole Brown and her gay friend, Ronnie Coleman.

That doesn’t detract from Kylie’s success. Regardless of your position in society, creating a billion-dollar company isn’t an easy feat.

But to say that she is “self-made,” seems like somewhat of a stretch, due to her family’s success on Keeping Up With The Kardashians; Caitlyn Jenner’s success as a world-renowned Olympic athlete; and Robert Kardashian’s success as a high-powered attorney.

Nonetheless, according to Forbes Magazine, Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics line, Kylie Cosmetics, has sold approximately $630 million worth of makeup ever since its launch in 2016.
