Drake Rules The Artist 100 Chart For 31st Week
Drake moves closer to Taylor Swift’s record for the most time atop the chart.
He leads again thanks to his album Scorpion, which spends its fifth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while the set’s “In My Feelings” tops the Billboard Hot 100 for a fourth week.
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
Only Taylor Swift has spent more time than Drake atop the Artist 100, logging 36 total weeks at the summit since the chart’s inception in 2014. The Weeknd ranks third with 15 weeks at No. 1.
Meanwhile, Kenny Chesney vaults from No. 34 to No. 2 on the Artist 100, as his LP Songs for the Saints launches at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 77,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music. The set is his 16th No. 1 on Top Country Albums.
Chesney led the Artist 100 for one week last November when his last LP, Live in No Shoes Nation, opened atop the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums.
Rounding out the Artist 100’s top five, Post Malone dips 2-3, Imagine Dragons fall 3-4 and Cardi B holds at No. 5.
