UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje has not held back in his criticism of Conor McGregor, repeating his claims that the Irishman is a ‘s**t human and parent.’ The Highlight, who had been scheduled to fight McGregor in July before injury scuppered the bout, was not impressed by the Irishman’s attempt to arrange a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov on Saturday night. After the Eagle scored a dominant third round submission win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 242, McGregor tweeted: ‘Book my rematch for Moscow.’ Gaethje snapped at the assertion that McGregor would get the next crack at the UFC lightweight champion and replied in withering fashion. ‘You’re a tool. You have lost everything already. You are a s**t human, father, and husband. F**k you,’ tweeted the 30-year-old.
😂 you’re a tool. You have lost everything already. You are a shit human, father, and husband. Fuck you.

McGregor is yet to reply to the pretty intense attack from Gaethje, but many of his fans did, suggesting that the American had gone too far in suggesting the Notorious is a bad parent. The former World Series of Fighting champion was not backing down, though, responding with a series of tweets sticking to his guns, including… ‘I despise what he represents and people like you that would defend the person he is.’ ‘Nothing to do with fighting. Great fighter. His distance management is second to none his timing is impeccable and he hits like a truck. S**t human and deserves to be called out for that. Unfortunately for him his indiscretions are unforgivable.’ ‘F**k off. Your kid is supposed to want to grow up to be like you. When you treat people the way he does that is setting a bad example. How hard is this?’
Gaethje, who fights Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone this Saturday night in Vancouver, has made his feelings about McGregor clear in the past as well. In response to the video of McGregor punching a man in a pub in Dublin, Gaethje said he wanted to ‘f**k up’ the former lightweight and featherweight champion. ‘He brings the most attention, he’s the biggest superstar in this sport, he’s not even fighting and he’s still the biggest superstar,’ Gaethje told TMZ Sports. ‘So of course I want to f**k him up. ‘I see him punch an old man, do I want to punch him for that? F**k yeah, I want to f**k that dude up for s**t like that. ‘He looks like a crackhead on your video.’
