I recently stumbled upon the VFX reel for John Wick 3 [here](https://www.methodstudios.com/en/features/john-wick-3/) (can’t link directly to the video, so just scroll down a bit to find it) and I can’t believe how many VFX shots there are. Previously I thought David Fincher movies were the best at “invisible” VFX shots (VFX that you don’t know is VFX) but this movie seems pretty much on par. Here’s a few that stood out to me:
* The glass cases in the weapons museum.
* Every single glass case that John smashes through in the final fight.
* Knives. Several knives seemingly just didn’t exist.
* The motorcycle guys during the horse chase are apparently fully CGI.
And there’s so much more. It’s really incredible what can be done when VFX is used intelligently, because I legitimately didn’t think there was any VFX in this film aside from compositing shots/images in (backgrounds, stuntmen against a green screen, etc.) and some VFX blood, but oh man was I pleasantly surprised!
