FRANKLIN, IN. (THECOUNT) — A man is dead after an apparent shooting in Franklin, Indiana, Saturday night.

Police say they are investigating after a shooting in Franklin left one man dead Saturday evening.

The Franklin Police Department said they responded to the 100 block of Hurricane Street in Franklin Saturday evening for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, reports Fox59.

The shooting occurred near the Boys and Girls Club of Franklin.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

Detectives were on the scene Saturday evening gathering evidence and talking to potential witnesses.
