Manchester City are thinking over a move for Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze in the summer, according to reports.
According to the Daily Mail, City are considering a move for Villarreal’s versatile forward Chukwueze, who can play on either flank or behind the striker.
It’s reported that City have been interested in the 20-year-old since last year but the fact that he is a Nigerian international may work against him as the Africa Cup of Nations has now reverted back to being played in January.
Meanwhile, another position that Pep Guardiola may look to enhance in the summer is the centre of defence.
City have struggled at the back this season following the departure of Vincent Kompany and injuries troubles suffered by Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi.
According to the Express, the Blues are interested in Benfica centre-back Ruben Dias.
The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the highly-rated young defenders in Europe and has already won plenty of trophies for club and country.
However, it’s reported that Dias has a buy-out clause of £80million, a price that City were unwilling to pay for Harry Maguire last summer.
MEN Sport understands that centre-back is a priority area for City in the next transfer window.
