'The Flash' Star Rick Cosnett Comes Out as Gay


The 36-year-old actor who stars in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘The Flash’ has come out of the closet and promised to himself to ‘live his truth’ every day.

Rick Cosnett, star of “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Flash“, is gay.

The star, who played Wes Maxfield and Eddie Thawne in the shows, respectively, took to his Instagram account on Thursday, February 13, 2020 to make the announcement, telling fans in a candid video clip, “Dramatic pause…I’m gay.”

Cosnett explained that he “just wanted everyone to know because I made a promise to myself to live my truth everyday.”

“And sometimes, that is a really hard thing to do when you have all these subconscious things you don’t even know about from childhood and from society and from being, you know, just life,” he explained. “So there you go. I’m sure most of you probably knew anyway.”
