It is truly shocking to see how many well-educated people will completely abandon rationality when confronted with bad news. The Pollyanna of “40 million unemployed is just a small hiccup in the plan, no need to worry” that the media and the Federal Government have been selling is completely insane.

We have a very serious problem on our hands and it is only going to get worse if we keep pretending that this is fine.
