The hypocrisy of the republicans, when given credible evidence of russian interference of the election on behalf of them they ignore it. But when their majority is in danger they manufacture a problem.

Article stated, they “put aside work related to the pandemic” to work on this. Bunch of Do Nothing Republicans.

> The same article quoted Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-S.D.) saying, in reference to his party, “**I just think that everybody realizes that our fortunes sort of rise or fall together.** One thing we have to do is to make sure that we are united on our agenda and make sure that there’s not separation between the White House and Republicans in Congress.” This is precisely the problem of homogeneity. When farmers plant and harvest only one crop, a single disease ruins them. Farmers that don’t want to be ruined farm a diversity of crops and rotate their crops… Read more »

The only way for the current GOP to stay in power is to make full use of the electoral system, short term, and to abandon democracy, long term. It’s either that or to totally reinvent the party. I fear they will chose the former.

The dumbest thing about this, is if they had actually performed well during the opening and continued stages of the pandemic, their approval ratings would be amazing. Just look at the months following 9/11, they could’ve cinched the senate and the presidency, but instead they played themselves in pursuit of the almighty dollar.

They did it to McCain in 2000, and Kerry in 2004.

When attacked by a member of the GOP, Dem politicians should just say “Consider the source.”

At some point, either Trump and Republicans have to come to a point of a messy divorce or the republicans are going to implode. They keep tracking towards implosion for some reason.

Good thing is, anyone who gets subpoenaed for these new investigations can just ignore it with no consequences.

So now the Republicans are going to subpoena Hunter Biden and a “wide variety of Obama administration officials”. Ha!. Let them. They can just ignore them. Subpoenas don’t mean shit anymore right? If they try to force them to show up wouldn’t that set a bad precedent for all the trump officials that are not honoring their subpoenas. If they demand Hunter Biden show up then we demand Pompeo or Mulvaney or the other dozens who ignored their subpoenas.

(I’m a bot) ***** > Just three days after Trump berated McConnell on Twitter to "Get tough" with Democrats and probe the 2016 Russia investigation that ensnared Trump's campaign, the Senate majority leader took to the floor to echo the president's misgivings in a way he declined to do last week. > All of this, of course, is being done with the support of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who declared on the chamber floor this week, "Senate Republicans are taking steps to issue new subpoenas to a… Read more »

Funny how EVERY election, according the Rs, the D candidate is the most corrupt ever but for whatever reason cant get charged with anything.

Meanwhile, the current POTUS is the first in history to receive a bipartisan vote for removal from office.

The funny thing about of this? If the Republicans acted like fucking human beings and worked hard to HELP the people of the United States, their approval ratings would be sky high.

But NO…they have to double down on being the soulless bastards that we all know them to be.

Have we forgotten about Benghazi? “Lock her up?” Obamagate? QAnon? Pizzagate? Fucking Info Wars? There is a certain portion of the electorate that LIVES for this kind of shit. They eat it up then ask for seconds and dessert. They don’t fact check, they don’t even reality check. Or they could do the right thing, kick Trump out of the White House, and try to have a few of their less than horrible members like Romney, Hogan, Baker, etc. try to salvage the party.

But instead they’d rather go the full authoritarian fascist route.
