Nancy Pelosi Made a Dark Prediction about Donald Trump in the 2020 Election: Without of Sizable Defeat, He Will Refuse to Concede the Presidency

In a recent interview with The New York Times, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) voiced her concerns that unless President Trump loses the 2020 election by a sizable margin, he will refuse to concede, a sentiment that has been echoed by strategists and pundits before.

She told the times, “We have to inoculate against that, we have to be prepared for that.” and she believes the best and maybe only surefire way to do that is to hand him a crushing defeat.

She described her plan as “coldblooded” and said that the Democrats have GOT to dominate parts of the electorate, such as the center left and the mainstream.

“If we win by four seats, by a thousand votes each, he’s not going to respect the election…He would poison the public mind. He would challenge each of the races; he would say you can’t seat these people.”

Nancy Pelosi, on Trump’s reaction if he loses re-election

Pelosi sees the strategy and the long game here.

Perhaps that is why that despite efforts by popular Dems, Pelosi resisted impeachment. She saw that efforts to impeach Trump would ultimately die in the Republican controlled Senate, furthering the great divide in an already torn nation, not to mention the possible alienation that many members of the Democratic party would face.

This is just another reason why Pelosi sees that the best bet to end this nightmare presidency is just to defeat Trump once and for all in a huge victory in the 2020 election.

In a statement to HuffPost, the White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley responded to Pelosi’s comment and called it “hilariously ironic”.

He accused Democrats of refusing to accept the results of the 2016 election AND the findings of Mueller’s report, saying, “Now, they have the audacity to question the President ‘accepting results?’…. Give me a break.”

It’s no surprise that there are already warning signs that Trump is setting up the framework to contest the 2020 election results if he loses and he has already been shouting out ridiculous claims of voter fraud, even though multiple studies and investigations show it is not a serious problem.

Pelosi isn’t alone in her concerns.

In 2019, Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen, told a congressional panel that he believed there would “never be a peaceful transition of power” if Trump doesn’t win the re-election.
