Sia Labels Herself a ‘Buffoon’ After Mistaking Nicki Minaj for Cardi B

When issuing an apology for the mix-up, the ‘Cheap Thrills’ hitmaker asks if she could like both the ‘Anaconda’ raptress and the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker instead.

Sia Furler has admitted she’s a “buffoon,” after confusing rappers Nicki Minaj and Cardi B on social media.

The mix-up occurred when a Twitter follower asked Sia if she would ever do a collaboration with Nicki. However, the message was sent with a picture, which the “Chandelier” star seemingly thought was of Cardi.

“I love @iamcardib and although this isn’t a collaboration, I would love to COLLAB with her any day!” Sia responded.

Sia's Tweet 01

Sia responded to a fan’s question about future collaboration with Nicki Minaj.

Nicki’s fans were so upset about the case of mistaken identity, they started to bring up the two rappers’ old feuds – but “Cheap Thrills” star Sia apparently thought the “Megatron” hitmaker’s devotees were accusing her of drumming up a new dispute.

Sia tweeted, “I don’t give a s**t about feuds, George Floyd was f**king murdered. Breonna Taylor. Murdered. Come on let’s rise in unity. You think @iamcardib and Nikki (sic) are so petty that they would want you focusing on a silly feud instead of REAL NEWS.”

It wasn’t long before Sia realized her error, and returned to the platform to rectify the situation, writing, “My f**k up @NickiMinaj.”

She continued, “Hey @iamcardib @NICKIMINAJ you aren’t thinking about a feud right now are you? We are focused on the problem of systemic racism.”

Sia's Tweet 02

Sia issued an apology for mixing up Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.

“I totally misunderstood a tweet earlier that has resulted in me making a buffoon out of myself,” Sia added. “Sorry @NICKIMINAJ and @iamcardib if you hear about it. Can I just like you both?”
