  1. this is the Bell Helicopter/KBR/Haliburton tradition, otherwise known as ‘commerce,’ and “I know a guy…” I doubt he gets the Martha Stewart treatment- more likely a more lucrative position.

  2. I feel silly. At first I thought “what’s wrong with that?” But then I realised it meant traded in not traded in. As in he continued to trafe in the stock, not that he traded the stock in.

We have similar shit here and it makes my eyes itch.

  3. Trump’s comment about being able to shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any votes is shockingly true for the entire GOP. Fuck em all.

  4. Oh, that’s just great. Now we have a profiteer on the Senate Armed Services panel. (No corruption possible there,…… or is there?)

  5. Congress should be beholden to the same COI laws that the rest of the executive is. If some program analyst can’t have stock in companies, if some COR *advising* on a contract can’t, why the fuck should our Congress be able to?

  6. There are men and women in this world that would volunteer for them and their spouse to never buy another stock again for the rest of their lives, if they had the chance to serve in the senate for a single day. The senate should be like a samurai class. You sacrifice the rest of your life for this.

  7. How much more of this are we supposed to tolerate before violence becomes not just a viable option, but our only option?

This scares me every day. Wondering if sitting here and watching the world burn will someone how fix it. Now that I have typed it out, sounds stupid right?
