Interesting to see how Central and South America work with Biden. Biden will bring new brand to the region that some like Bolsonaro aren’t accustomed to. I’m keen to see how AMLO works with Biden going forward.

A Mexican politician that supports Trump should be immediately impeached after the way Trump has disparaged Mexicans. I suppose the guy is on the take in some way that comes from the Republicans.

Folks, he is doing what every politician, democrats and republicans alike do. He is hedging his bets.
Now, you and i know that trump lost and is just throwing a massive tantrum. But from the outside looking in, they don’t know what the hell is going on over here.
Remember, government leaders do use a lot of fraud in latin american countries, including changing the makeup of courts (sound familiar?) and even changing the constitution in order to stay in power.
To Obrador and other latin american leaders, well in their eyes, trump just might be able to pull it off. So they have to be careful. If trump wins, they don’t want to be on his bad side.
After an election in which it’s obvious the Latino community is not a monolith:
“HEY GUYS, LOOK WHAT THE LATINOS WANT!”

Mexican president is just strictly following Mexico’s Estrada Doctrine that mandates no involvement in other countries internal affairs. Under this strict interpretation of the Doctrine, congratulating any candidate while there are ongoing legal disputes (regardless of their merit or success) amounts to involvement in US internal affairs. He will most likely congratulate him and begin to work with him when the Electoral College gives its final vote.
