Joe Scarborough Unleashes Fury at Capitol Cops: ‘You Opened the Fucking Doors for Them’ – In an emotional and powerful address, the “Morning Joe” host pointed fingers at police officers and said that President Donald Trump should be sent to prison.

I feel his outrage. We have been treating Trump supporters (whether legislator or internet troll) with kid gloves since 2015. The media interviewed them. What do they want? What makes them tick? How can we appease them?

In return, Trump’s supporters threatened and intimidated people with impunity. They weren’t appeased by the kid gloves treatment, they were encouraged.

An uncountable number of exceptions were made to the rules for them. They *occupied the Michigan Capitol with weapons*, and they left as free people, because *nobody wanted to make the Trump supporters mad.*

Now here we are today. Just like Trump, no one dared say no to his supporters, or hold them accountable to the law. Just like Trump, his supporters see that as permission to push their misbehavior to further extremes.

It’s time to stop being afraid of Trump and his supporters, and time to punish them for their crimes.

We all know we are only a nation of laws as long as you aren’t rich. If you’re rich then you can pretty much do whatever. As we have enabled Trump to be and do.

I heard this live and it was fucking great at the six an hour to hear someone as outraged as I was about the whole thing. That f bomb was warranted.

This is where we are at. A real with national terrorists let right into our capitol and allowed to look for our representatives.

I haven’t seen Joe this mad in a long time. He dropped the F bomb he was right. This is fucking lunacy. Those police officers that betrayed our nation need to go to jail too.

Scarborough was still a republican piece of shit under Obama, so I give him a half modicum for credit for being a decent human being once it’s a little too late. Then again that’s all of them, ain’t it.

Is this a good time to chant “lock him up”?

I don’t want to sound paranoid, but here we go. Anyone is welcome to try to make this sound better and thus make me feel better:

There was clearly some level complicity between the insurgents and those charged with guarding the halls of power. How much complicity is up for debate, but we all clearly saw around the world as a few dozen people were allowed to trespass freely as the police stood by and watched. No amount of spin, explanation, apologies, recantation will change that. The cops were cool with it.

So that’s a problem, plus the (intentional?) obfuscation of receiving help from outside agencies like the National Guard, FBI, etc. The “optics” of US military protecting the Capitol is *worse* than the a bunch of people **actually** kicking the doors and windows in with the stated mission of dissolving the Republic? That’s a pretty thin excuse, and not making me feel better. Plus all the new, hyperloyalist unconfirmed cronies running the show at so many of these agencies is also not bringing me peace.

But mostly, I’m seeing that *now* the military is on site, along with thousands of other security personnel. Fences and barricades have been set up, perimeters are being guarded at all points around the seat of power. No problem with the optics now, apparently.

My question is, why? Why are the military and huge police/security contingents *now* occupying the streets of DC? They let the insurgents walk away, and every shot I see on the is empty streets with tons of police and barricades. Someone yesterday explained that these measures will be in place for the next 30 days. But why?
