Internet interest in Donald Trump crashing all across nation

After 4 years of Trump’s tantrums and turmoil, President Joe Biden has been invested in leading America into a period of recovery – from the pandemic, the economic crisis, AND from the chaos of Trump’s term. While Trump hoped he would remain a fixture in American politics, new information shows that online interest in the former president is now at an all-time low.

On MSNBC‘s “The Beat with Ari Melber,” host Melber pointed out that Trump has used internet and media attention as fuel, meaning the attention he gets from it keeps him going. Surely this new disinterest is irritating Trump.

Melber said, “Press and public adulation is probably one of the only constants of his entire chaotic life… Trump is now at an all-time low since he entered politics.”

Speaking with his guests, Melber said:

All three of us know that Donald Trump does care about his public image. Press and public adulation is probably one of the only constants of his entire chaotic life. We checked on this methodically because the numbers can tell the story. I’m going to show you this recent period going from about the fall campaign through the election through January, which was, of course, what we lived through on the insurrection. This is from Google, so it’s a macro dataset.

He added,

You can see, obviously, where things spike – around the election, November, debates, then January 6th. What you see on the right-hand corner there is a complete crash, Sam. I’m curious not just from Twitter, but from staying off TV and really not even hitting Biden on easy stuff where he could. Trump is now at an all-time low since he entered politics.

After Trump lost to Biden in November, he did everything he could to stay in the media spotlight, continue for months to claim massive widespread voter fraud by Biden and Dem supporters – eventually leading the charge on the “Stop the Steal” rally and encouraging the deadly march on the Capitol in January. Perhaps he thought he would ALWAYS have that level of public and media interest.

He was wrong.

In fact, just the opposite has happened and the majority of Americans have now just tuned him out. Politico reported, “Trump was supposed to be a political Godzilla in exile. Instead, he’s adrift.”

By and large, President Biden is gaining the trust, approval, and the attention of the American people. As Biden continues to make good on campaign promises of vaccine plans and economic recovery, the focus of American politics has shifted, rightly so, onto him.

Donald Trump hoped to be a political powerhouse, strong enough to carry his spotlight into the next presidential election perhaps. Instead, he’s in the shadows now – and many say that is EXACTLY where he belongs.
