WATCH: Jen Psaki Expertly Schools Peter Doocy on the Difference Between Biden and Trump

Jeff Sessions was one of the first national Republicans to back Donald Trump in his quest for the Republican nomination. Trump rewarded Sessions by making him his Attorney General. The former Alabama senator, however, was fired by Trump. While Sessions was a loyalist, he wasn’t willing to go quite as far as Trump wanted him too.

Following that firing, the 45th president appointed William Barr to be his AG. Barr had essentially auditioned for the position by writing an op-ed defending Trump in the Washington Post. And while Barr also told Trump no at times, he did aide the former president in abusing the Department of Justice.

During Monday’s press conference, Peter Doocy attempted to like Joe Biden’s usage to the Justice Department to Donald Trump’s. Jen Psaki, however, was not having it.

Last week, Biden said he would support the prosecution of people who defied subpoenas related to the January 6th election. Doocy asked Psaki, “So what’s changed since last year when he said I will not do what former President Trump does and use the Justice Department as my vehicle to insist that something happen?”

“Well, since you gave me the opportunity here,” Psaki replied to the Fox reporter, “former President Trump used his office to incite an insurrection. He put political pressure on senior DOJ officials to propagate lies about the election to the point where they threatened to resign en masse. I think there’s hardly a comparison there.”
