The Trump family cut off Rudy Giuliani
According to a recently published book from author Michael Wolff, the Trump family has completely cut off Rudy Giuliani and are peeved that he is asking for payment for his work on Trump’s crusade to overturn the 2020 election results.
The Times of London published a portion of Wolff’s book, “Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency,” and details Trump’s current life post-presidency. He describes what it’s like for the frustrated Trump as he continues to be irked by the lack of progress on his quest to reverse the results of last year’s presidential election.
Back in November, Trump’s longtime ally and personal attorney Rudy Giuliani led the charge in to overturn the election results but after a series of setbacks, he abandoned that role in February.
Since that time, reports have circulated about how Giuliani has tried (TO NO AVAIL)to get paid for his work leading to a fallout with Trump in the process.
Wolff explained, “Trump is annoyed that he tried to get paid for his election challenge work.”
“Trump is annoyed that he tried to get paid for his election challenge work.”
The book details how Giuliani had “gotten only the cold shoulder” from Trump while he was seeking payment for his work.
Wolff said Trump’s family has essentially “cast out, cut off” his former friend and counsel.
The Justice Department is also still investigating Giuliani for possibly breaking foreign lobbying laws while he was working as Trump’s lawyer but he has NOT been charged with a crime.
The amount owed to Giuliani by Trump is not actually known but the New York Times reported that Giuliani’s rate was around $20,000 a day during the election challenge.
The New York Times reported that White House officials began blocking all of Giuliani’s calls.
This isn’t the first book to detail Trump’s troubled relationship with Giuliani. Michael Bender, a Wall Street Journal reporter, published a book called “Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost” and in it he describes Trump regularly insulting Giuliani while they worked together.
