House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday night spoke separately with fellow GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Nancy Mace to tell them to stop their divisive feud.

Greene told CNN after the meeting that she and former President Trump would back a primary challenge in 2022 to Mace, who has criticized fellow GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert for her recently using anti-Muslin tropes directed at Democrat Rep. Ihan Omar of Minnesota.

Boebert and Greene are among the most far-right members of the House Republican Conference.

Mace, a freshman in a swing district, said about Greene’s threat: “All I can say about Marjorie Taylor Greene is bless her f***ing heart,” also according to CNN

McCarthy has yet to publicly address the Boebert comments and is challenged in trying to keep together his conference as it appears poised to retake control of the lower chamber next year.

McCarthy told CNN before the meetings that his message to Mace and Greene would be: “Stop it.”

Greene has referred to Mace as “trash.”

Mace, in as series of emojis on Twitter, has characterized Greene as “bats*** crazy.”

Greene said Tuesday about Trump: “Obviously, I love that man,” and that she had spoken to the former president that day.

“I have his support 1,000%,” she also said. “And unfortunately, Nancy Mace doesn’t. … I will be very supportive of a primary challenger (to Mace), along with President Trump.”
