Did Mark Meadows Drop Bombshell Trump Info to Distract From His Cooperation With Jan 6th Committee?
Wednesday’s bombshell report that Mark Meadows revealed the Former Guy had tested positive for COVID-19 just days before his debate with Joe Biden seemed to come a little too soon after the announcement that the former Trump Chief of Staff would be cooperating with the January 6th House Select Committee after all. Meadows had tried to avoid appearing for the subpoena, but he apparently wants to avoid prison even more.
You have to hand it to Meadows in a way–he’s using Trump’s own tactics against him. Whenever there was a damning story brewing about him, Trump would find a way to divert the media’s attention with a convenient scapegoat who did something “really bad”. So what better way for Meadows to make the media stop speculating about what he might tell the January 6th Committee by throwing them a giant hunk of orange-spackled red meat?
This may be the part where they’re all really going to start eating each other. Meadows is the closest Trump ally so far to expose an actual and big truth from the administration, and you can bet that’s not going to sit well with the Walking Orange Human Grudge.
ALERT- House Jan 6 Cmte chair says Mark Meadows “has been engaging with the Select Committee through his attorney. He has produced records to the committee and will soon appear for an initial deposition.”

Trump’s next move after this should be very interesting. Expect an overly verbose projection language salad via his spokesperson, Liz Harrington, where he says all kinds of middle school bully-type things about Mark Meadows. We’ve seen how this plays out many times before, with numerous Republicans who’ve slighted Donny Thin Skin, and it should only deteriorate more from this point.
Mark Meadows watched Trump test positive for COVID, was quiet as Trump carried on with debates and events, watched Trump nearly die from COVID, and then was quiet as Trump continued to downplay the virus. No one should buy a Mark Meadows’ book, they should throw the book at him.

Meadows cooperating with the January 6th Committee is still going to stay in the news cycle, as will the others who eventually end up complying because they don’t want to be federally charged like Steve Bannon.
Mark Meadows masks it with an affable demeanor and friendly relationships with reporters, but this Covid revelation shows again that he is one of the more sinister players on the national stage. Truly vile behavior.
