Christmas is a Christian holiday, no matter how many times the media and businesses attempt to secularize it, it is a holiday celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

And now a commercial in Norway has gone against the Christian tenets of The Bible by promoting homosexuality, Today reported.

No matter what you think on the issue of homosexuality and same-sex marriage, The Bible does not leave room for debate on the topic. It is deemed a sin and promoting it would be akin to promoting premarital sex or any other sin.

In the new commercial for Norway’s postal service, Posten, titled “When Harry met Santa,” shows the start of a love affair between Santa Claus and Harry when Santa first begins bringing presents to him.

The two share a special glance before Santa moves on to the next house on his busiest day of the year.

Their exchanges continue to happen over the years, with Harry making extra effort to look nice for his annual romantic meeting with Santa. In one emotional farewell, he lets Kriss Kringle know that he’ll miss him.

The following year, we see Harry writing a letter to Santa, letting him know that, “All I want for Christmas is you.”

But the romance is shown to be mutual as Santa arrives at Harry’s house as Posten is delivering presents.

“Well I arranged some help this year…so I can be with you,” Santa says to his new boyfriend.

The advertisement received a ton of scorn on Twitter.

“Why sexualise St Nick in the 1st place? Everything is becoming sexualised. A few short years ago the way of thinking was ‘there’s a time & a place.’Normalising this kind of thing will only end in trouble down the line, a whole generation crossing lines that shouldn’t be crossed,” one Twitter user said.

“Father Christmas is about children, can’t we just let children be their innocent selves for once and be happy to enjoy Christmas, they just care that he’s giving out presents, not giving his boyfriend one,” another said.

“Sexualising father Christmas can they get any lower for gods sake dont they think kids have to grow up to fast as it is without having their favourite person confusing them,” another furious commentor said.

“If people want to make Santa’s son, daughter, brother or sister etc gay then fine ! whatever ! But father Christmas has a wife who is a woman. There’s no need for this its just done to get a reaction…,” another said.

The reason for the ad is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of same homosexuality being legalized in Norway, NBC News reported.

The ad has been produced to mark 50 years since the decriminalization of homosexuality in Norway. The country has some of Europe’s most progressive LGBTQ legislation, with the Gay Travel Index consistently ranking Norway as one of the most gay-friendly places in the world. Civil partnerships have been legal since 1993 and LGBTQ people able to serve openly in the military since 1979.

The clip has quickly garnered international attention with Canadian Member of Parliament, Randall Garrison, tweeting he was breaking his “no Christmas before December rule” to thank Norwegian Post for their “strong and moving message of inclusion.” The ad on YouTube has been viewed more than 600,000 times in just three days.

Norwegian Post tell NBC News their aim was to “show love has no limits” and reaction within Norway so far has been “overwhelming.” No decision has yet been made on if there will be a follow up to Santa’s love story next year.

What consenting adults do is their own business, but to push the agenda on kids is shameful but it is another sign of where the world is in 2021.
