High Turnover Rate Reveals Black Hillary Has Become Career Poison – RedState

Vice President Kamala Harris has a myriad of problems, and now it appears they have become so pronounced, even members of her staff are taking notice and jumping ship. The turnover rate in her office has garnered attention even from the activist media. Only a few days ago, it was reported that Symone Sanders, Harris’ senior adviser and chief spokesperson, will be leaving the vice president’s employ at the end of the year.

Sanders is only the latest in a long line of Harris staffers who have moved on to greener pastures. Her dismally low approval ratings, combined with the perception that she is woefully incompetent, aren’t helping matters. As RedState’s Brandon Morse wrote:

The rats are jumping ship, and it’s likely because its sinking is assured at this point. There’s nowhere to go but down, and they’d rather not be known as the rats that were aboard when it happens.

All is not well in Kamalaland.

A recent report published by Axios seems to bolster this suggestion. Authors Alexi McCammond and Sarah Mucha wrote:

Burnout, better opportunities, and concern about being permanently branded a “Harris person” is driving some of the turnover in Vice President Kamala Harris’s office, people familiar with the situation tell Axios.

The report notes that Harris’ allies are furiously trying to spin these new developments into something resembling a nothingburger. The authors wrote:

Her allies say she has a terrific chance to reset and downplay the early stumbles. But top Biden officials privately roll their eyes at her team, and want to see smoother, more effective leadership.

A Democratic operative told Axios that these departures would likely place more pressure on Tina Flournoy, Harris’ chief of staff. “If we mess this up, it’s going to set women back when it comes to running for higher office for years to come,” the individual said.

Flournoy came under fire earlier this year when Politico published a report in which 22 members of Harris’ staff complained about the vice president’s managerial style and Flournay’s constant gatekeeping. Politico reported:

Aides and allies said Flournoy, in an apparent effort to protect Harris, has instead created an insular environment where ideas are ignored or met with harsh dismissals and decisions are dragged out. Often, they said, she refuses to take responsibility for delicate issues and blames staffers for the negative results that ensue.”

Axios notes that much of the turnover is occurring for natural reasons – and this is likely true because many of these positions tend to have high turnover. But the report also notes that “[o]ne recurring theme, though, is concern — even fear — about career harm by being too closely linked to a flagging operation.”

The authors continued:

Axios is told some Harris staffers want to work on Biden’s reelection campaign, while others don’t want to be aligned with Harris in the event another promising Democrat runs for president in 2024.

Harris’ apparent unpopularity and the fact that she is not performing well in her position could spell disaster for the Democrats in 2024. Despite President Joe Biden’s remarks to the contrary, it is highly likely that he will not seek another term. If this happens, Harris would be the frontrunner by default, which means the Republicans could run a platypus against her and still win the White House.

Perhaps this is the reason why rumors suggesting that Biden might try to appoint Harris to the Supreme Court are swirling in the swamp. Democrats have to know they are in trouble. Their chances for maintaining control of Congress after the 2022 midterms are practically nil. But with Harris in the way, they know their chances of keeping the White House are even lower. If they want even a small chance of winning in 2024, they need to deal with their Kamala Harris problem.
