Read the Texts Sean Hannity Sent Kayleigh McEnany on January 7th, a ‘Five Point Plan for Talking to Trump’

These same people who are acting as though January 6th was no big deal, a non-event, another witch hunt, all of it, they are all lying or – so indoctrinated, that they have no ability to relate to where they stood and what they felt a year ago. One year ago, everyone close to Trump, including the man that feels like Trump’s real Chief of Staff, Sean Hannity was rocked to their core.

On January 7th, Sean Hannity was one of those shaken, so much so that he believed that he, not Meadows, not Trump, needed to be the one to put together a five point plan for how she would address questions from Jan. 7th until the 20th, when she would be set free.

From Twitter

Hannity texted Kayleigh a five point plan for talking to Trump on January 7th Two of the points: 1. No more stolen election talk 2. Yes, impeachment and the 25th amendment are real, and many people will quit Kayleigh responds with “Love that. Thank you. That is the playbook”

No more election talk. Clearly, that was “for now,” because it seemed like the people around Trump had to know that he’d never admit to a loss and thus they had best get comfortable with the idea of never admitting a loss the rest of their lives, either, even though there is not one politically sophisticated person in Washington who doesn’t know it was just a regular election. (Well, except more people voted because it was easier to vote – though just as hard to cheat, as Florida is proving – and when more people vote, it’s always the “wrong people in urban areas” and Democrats win. It is why states are lining up to never let it happen again.

Back to Kayleigh, “Love it.” That was the right answer. In fact, the only period in which one could feel genuine empathy for Kayleigh was from January 7th to January 20th. She could not have known that the violence was coming, she would be kept out of that kind of loop – we would hope, or no empathy.

She signed up to pass along Trump’s lies, not defend an assault on the Capitol. For those two weeks, it was good advice, and she needed some.

It is amazing what a difference a year makes, is it not?
