Tucker Carlson Calls out Corporations that Pledged to get Employees Abortions, ‘Much Cheaper to Pay for an Abortion Than Pay for Maternity Leave’

The Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade and Casey vs. Planned Parenthood with their decision released on Friday in Dobbs vs. Jackson. This does not mean however that abortion is now illegal in the United States, it only returns the power of legislating the issue of abortion back to the States.

On Tucker Carlson’s show Friday, Carlson used part of his monologue to call out corporations that quickly pledged to fly their employees out to somewhere they could get an abortion if they so choose.

The corporations may appear to care about their employee’s “healthcare” wishes. Carlson calls it for what it re, a way for the companies to put their bottom lines first. “It’s much cheaper to pay for an abortion than pay for maternity leave,” Carlson declared.

Apex World News shared part of his monologue on Twitter:

“Tucker Carlson: “It’s obvious why abortion is so important to American Corporations, who immediately announced they’d fly their employees out to get an abortion. Why? It’s much cheaper to pay for an abortion than pay for maternity leave. It’s all about the $$ for Corporate (US).”

The New York Times published a story with a full list of companies that pledged, to pay the travel expenses of an employee who wants an abortion. Of no surprise, Apple Amazon, and Disney are among the list of companies that what to appear to their “woke” employees as they care.

According to Penn Live, Dicks Sporting Goods CEO Lauren Hobart said:

In response to today’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, the 50-year-old benchmark decision that legalized abortion, the company will provide up to $4,00 in travel expense reimbursement to travel to the nearest location where that care is legally available.

“This benefit will be provided to any teammate, spouse or dependent enrolled in our medical plan, along with one support person,” she wrote.

Hobart said Dick’s Sporting Goods is prepared to ensure that all associates have “consistent and safe access to the benefits” the company provides, “regardless of the state in which they live.”

The decision from the Supreme Court was of no surprise, as a draft opinion was leaked over a month before the final opinions were released.

Justice Samuel Alito penned the majority decision. Clarence Thomas and John Roberts also filed opinions in with the majority, Thomas’s opinion is probably the most alarming to the liberal left as he discusses the possibility of trying other “landmark” cases that have no real constitutional ground to stand on. Roberts’ opinion makes him sound neutral but was in the majority making the decision one that landed along ideological lines within the court in the 6 to 3 vote.

With Dobbs vs Jackson, the nearly 50-year precedent set when the Supreme Court decided in Roe vs. Wade was ended, and power will be returning to the states.

This is probably the most notable case of this Supreme Court session and we still have more decisions coming down next week.
