FOX News thought it was finally time for them to challenge the dominance of liberal late-night TV giants like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon with their own show, hosted by the insufferable Greg Gutfeld, but it’s quickly becoming clear that this project is just as disastrous as we all knew it would be.
The latest indignity put on national television by the white supremacist propaganda network featured an extremely unfunny skit that attempts to skewer White House press secretary Jen Psaki but only succeeds in highlighting the sociopathic lack of empathy that anyone at the FOX Network feels for other human beings.
“Maybe that’s why people just see what they want to see, RIGHT, JEN PSAKI?” begins Gutfeld as the camera shifts to an office scene where a red-haired woman is shown images of Rorsarch tests. The fake “Psaki” claims that they are not pictures of children in cages before being shown an image of migrant children in a detention center, which she then claims is an image of a butterfly.

The fundamental problem with this whole set-up, beyond its inherent cruelty, is that FOX News and its corporate masters see no problem with caging children and ferociously defended Donald Trump’s monstrous child separation policy.
The influx of climate refugees and asylum-seekers at the border is indeed an uncomfortable situation and there is certainly room for the Biden administration to improve its handling of the issue, but there is no comparison between the Biden administration’s efforts to implement humane policies and the naked sadism with which the Trump administration gleefully heaped hardship and suffering on the innocent people it captured at the border.
Gutfeld thought he had a “gotcha” moment, but all he did was turn human suffering into a god-awful punchline for an absolutely trash “comedy” show. It just goes to show how Psaki’s professionalism and calm demeanor leaves little room for these clowns to work with — as opposed to the bombastic incompetence of a Sean Spicer or the staggering doublespeak from a Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
