Pfizer anticipates applying in September for an emergency use authorization allowing youth ages 2 through 11 to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The company expects this month to seek full approval for giving the vaccine to people ages 16 and up, according to CEO Albert Bourla’s prepared remarks for an earnings conference call.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is expected to soon approve the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for kids ages 12 to 15.
