Lara Trump: The US Was Better Off When Trump Went on Foreign Trips Without Preparing or Using Note Cards
From the day he took office, the difference between Joe Biden and Donald Trump was clear. And since almost day one, things have gotten better in the country. Relief checks went out to people and businesses around the country. Vaccines became readily available and millions of Americans have been inoculated.
Another contrast was drawn this week when Biden went on his first major foreign trip. He has been well received by allies and world leaders with Emmauel Macron saying that the United States was back. But during a Thursday morning appearance on Fox & Friends, Lara Trump slammed the foreign trip claiming that things were better when an unprepared Donald Trump was running things.
The former president’s daughter-in-law began, “Remember the good old days, guys, whenever Donald Trump would walk to Marine One unprepared, no note cards? He would just go and say, ‘You, you, you’ — call on anybody and everybody. We had transparency from our White House. I mean, this is important stuff.”
Trump continued, “Are you kidding me? You are the president of the United States. Think about the signal that this sends to our adversaries, to Vladimir Putin, to Kim Jong-un, to Xi Jinping, to people that are kind of looking for weakness within the United States. It makes us look ridiculous. It is embarrassing.”
