Meet Cute is being described as a wildly inventive deconstruction of the romantic comedy genre that will be built around the question: What would you do if you could travel to your loved ones’ past, heal their traumas, fix their problems, and change them into the perfect partner? Further details about Cuoco and Davidson’s potential characters are still being kept under wraps.

The film will be directed by Alex Lehmann (Blue Jay) from a screenplay written by Noga Pnueli. It will be produced by Weed Road Pictures’ Akiva Goldsman, Gregory Lessans, and Rachel Reznick, along with Convergent Media’s Santosh Govindaraju and Dan Reardon.

The first gained positive reviews, with Cuoco earning her first Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. She will next be seen in the upcoming action-comedy The Man From Toronto as well as in The Flight Attendant Season 2, and the Harley Quinn Season 3.

Davidson has been a cast member on Saturday Night Live since 2014. His notable film credits include: Trainwreck, Set It Up, Big Time Adolescence, and The King of Staten Island.
