How to Play

To begin, enter the MLB Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is underway. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the backup, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.

The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike regular MLB DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real-time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final pitch of the night’s final game.

At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. For more information, check out the Jock MKT website.

Jock MKT MLB Picks Tonight

Austin Meadows, OF, Tampa Bay Rays

Meadows has not homered yet in the month of July, but there is no time like the present to break that streak. The Rays face the Indians, who will be sending Cal Quantrill to the mound. Meadows gets out of Tropicana Field, where he has only hit six of his 16 home runs. In his lifetime Meadows is hitting .317 with six extra-base hits (one home run ) in 45 plate appearances (.378 OBP, .890 OPS) against Cleveland.

Matt Olson, 1B, Oakland Athletics

Olson has one of the sweetest swings in MLB, and he takes aim at Mariners’ pitcher Chris Flexen, who has been the beneficiary of some favorable matchups lately. Olson has been mashing no matter who the pitcher is, with a homer and multiple hits in each of his last two game. It is also a very encouraging sign that Olson has only struck out once in the last four games.

Ozzie Albies, 2B, Atlanta Braves

Albies pops up as one of the best value plays on tonight’s slate according to Awesemo’s projections. The Braves get a juicy matchup against left-hander Matt Moore and the inconsistent Phillies bullpen. Albies has been asked to do a lot more with the season-ending injury to Ronald Acuna Jr. and has responded with extra-base hits in three of his last four games. Albies is hitting .337 against lefties this season, compared to .232 against righties, and has homered once against Moore in four career plate appearances.
